Parents, learn how to save on the cost of college! College planning is not just saving for the cost of college. When it comes to college planning there is no one size fits all solution. It’s about knowing the ins and outs of a very complex topic and how to apply the secrets of college planning and funding to your circumstances. Every parent of a college bound student may benefit from this class. Topics covered include; What is college planning, when should you start college planning, The Expected Family Contributions (EFC) formulas used, hot to estimate your EFC, strategic use of 529 savings plans, planning and funding strategies that may help increase cash flow to help pay education expenses or reduce taxes, school-merit scholarships and loan strategies for meeting shortfalls. Whatever your net worth as a parent, you may benefit from this class by gaining an understanding of what to do to save money and what not to do that can cost you money. This class is not going to discuss how to prepare, apply or choose a college. This class will discuss the use of financial college planning so you don’t have to pay one dollar more for college than absolutely necessary.
