Writers Academy - Grades 9-12

Geared towards students entering 9th-12th grade
This high school writing academy is aimed at bringing out the creative thinking process that is in all of us. This develops creative writers. Students will explore a variety of writing styles such as writing arguments to support claims, writing informative/explanatory texts to examine and convey complex ideas, and writing narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective techniques. Students will also practice writing essays that can be used for college entry applications.
4-day camp
Please bring snack and water daily.
Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.
please bring sweater/sweatshirt, classroom may get cold.
Class will be held in person at Irvine Valley College
