Advanced Tutoring Reading Academy - Grades 3 and 4

Geared towards students entering 3rd-4th grade

This course will include common core-based grade level reading comprehension including determining the theme of a story, learning how to identify and describe the setting, characters, and events, determining the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, and other relevant reading strategies. Teachers will use a variety of popular children's literature to strengthen students' reading skills. This will help to naturally enhance students’ love of reading.

Reminder:
  • Please bring snack and water daily. 
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.
  • please bring sweater/sweatshirt, classroom may get cold.

Class will be held in person at Irvine Valley College.
