Public Speaking Academy - Grades 1-3

Geared toward students entering 1st - 3rd grade

In this course, students will learn the different types of speech at their grade level, beginning with introductions, poems, and short persuasive speeches.  Emphasis will be on voice and speech techniques in a non-threatening and supportive environment. This course is a wonderful way for your student to gain confidence with speaking in public settings.

Reminder: 
  • Please bring snack and water daily. 
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.
  • please bring sweater/sweatshirt, classroom may get cold.
Class will be held in person at Irvine Valley College
