Bridges to Cybersecurity

We spend more and more of our time online; connecting with friends, sharing information, and discovering interesting things.  While this is making communication much easier, it is also making us vulnerable to personal information theft and reducing our privacy.  This class will go over the basics of desktop computers.  We will learn the various physical components, the vulnerabilities in of the Windows operating system, how to harden or secure your computer, methods to safeguard personal data, and online safety practices.  Students will also learn the basics of networking and the fundamentals of network security.  This class is designed with many practical, hands-on labs and activities to reinforce cybersecurity skills and knowledge.
