Preview to Computer Science A (Java) (Age 11-14)

This class gives students a jumpstart into the world of Java programming and software design. Students learn how to write, read, and improve real Java code while exploring core AP Computer Science A concepts such as variables, conditionals, loops, methods, and basic object-oriented programming. Through hands-on challenges and mini-projects, students build strong problem-solving skills and confidence for future high school and AP-level computer science courses.

3-day camp
  • Please bring snack and water daily.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.
  • Please bring sweater/sweatshirt, classroom may get cold.

Class will be held in person at Irvine Valley College 
5500 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92618
CEC Portable. Room CEC 1

Parking: There will be a reserved, FREE, 30 minutes drop-off and pick-up zone in parking lot #2
