Reading Academy - Grades 5 and 6

Geared towards students entering 5th-6th grade

This course will include common core-based grade level reading comprehension including determining the theme of a story, comparing and contrasting characters, determining the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in the text, and other related reading strategies. Teachers will use a variety of popular literature to strengthen students' reading skills. This will help to naturally enhance students’ love of reading.

Reminders: 
  • Please bring snack and water daily. 
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.
  • Please bring sweater/sweatshirt, classroom may get cold.

Parking: There will be a reserved, FREE, 30 minutes drop-off and pick-up zone in parking lot #2.
